This week we're pulling our recipe straight from Beachbum Berry's Total Tiki app with just 2 rum substitutions (because as much as we'd like to have EVERY type of rum out there, we just don't...yet).
Here are the ingredients we used:
- 1 oz. lime juice
- 2 oz. unsweetened pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz. falernum
- 2 oz. ginger beer
- 2 oz. dark Jamaican rum
- 1 oz. amber Jamaican rum (instead of gold Puerto Rican rum)
- 1/2 oz. Demerara rum (instead of Barbados rum)
- 1 dash Angostura bitters
- 1/8 tsp. absinthe
Shake all ingredients, minus the ginger beer, in a shaker with crushed ice. There is a decent amount of liquid here so be careful! After shaking all other ingredients, pour ginger beer into shaker and stir. Pour unstrained into the tiki mug of your choice and garnish with pineapple and mint if you happen to have them on hand. Drink up!
